Beyond The Sip: Joe & The Juice's Recipe for Visual Seduction

I recently went to Miami and stumbled upon this cute spot called Joe & The Juice. And from the moment I walked in, I was in love.

As I walked up to the counter, I immediately felt this sudden urge to order the entire menu—and at first, I didn’t understand why.

Doesn't their spread just scream EAT ME!?!

I wanted to experience their juices, their coffees, their bowls, and their sandwiches.

Ultimately, I wanted to experience all their brand had to offer.

After settling for just a coffee and a sandwich (that cost me $20+), I sat down to admire the shop.

From their fonts to their colors... I started to realize that I was in a brand trance.

Brand Trance (noun): a half-conscious state where a brand can take over your mind, tapping into all your consumer desires.

When I came out of my trance, I started scrolling their website, researching their history, and discovering the culture of their brand—all while I sipped my coffee.

I. Was. Invested.

And then I thought to myself—how did they do this?

How did they pull me in before I even had the opportunity to experience the product?

And the answer was simple. Science.

It was clear that the brand designer(s) behind Joe & the Juice didn’t just pick a font and color they thought was “cute,” but they understood the science of building a visual brand that attracts the right people, evokes emotion, and ultimately creates brand loyalty.

Overall, they visually created a brand that would appeal to their desired consumer profile(s).

People who value wellness/lifestyle, love unique experiences, and bass in exclusive minimal + luxe vibes.

Let’s take a look at their font & color selections.
